Montrose Hideaway Bed-and-Breakfast Retreat provides guests with traditional luxury amenities in each room (TV/VCR, DSL, desk, hair dryer, clock radio, plush robes and slippers, iron, ironing board, sewing kit, shoe sponge, hair spray and soaps) while also giving each room its own unique feel, unlike a motel or hotel. 

The self-service room is where guests can help themselves to a hot or cold drink, a video, and information about the area, or can use the built-in counter space for large work projects.

There are two large living areas on the first floor where guests can gather to visit, play a board game or cards, or work a puzzle. A baby grand piano is provided for guests who play or for use during special occasions, such as weddings or receptions. Also, wireless Internet access is available in the first-floor common areas and on the deck.

The dining room is the place to be each morning for a hot homemade breakfast. Menus will vary each day featuring combinations of hot breakfast casseroles or scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, homemade muffins or biscuits with chocolate gravy (a warm chocolate sauce), fresh fruit, juice and choice of hot and cold beverages. Guests can gather at the main dining table, or may choose to sit at one of three smaller tables or on the deck. If guests need to check out before the regular serving time, arrangements can be made in advance for a continental or to-go breakfast.

Guests can also enjoy the fresh air by walking around the extensive grounds or relaxing in the gazebo, on the large deck, on one of the benches overlooking the pond or in the hammock built for two.

Would you like anything extra special waiting for you in your room, such as a bottle of wine, champagne or bubbling juice chilling on ice, flowers, cheese and crackers, or balloons? We'd be happy to do the shopping for you for a shopping/set-up fee of $15 for each room being serviced. (Extra service charges may apply if needing to go to multiple stores.) You can specify exactly what you want, or you can give us a budget and a general idea of what you want and we'll do our best to accommodate. We will then reimburse ourselves for the items and charge the shopping fee at arrival. However, if you want to bring something of your own, know that we have wine and champagne glasses, wine buckets, ice buckets and corkscrews available for your use upon request.
